Q. How long will my baggage take to get to my destination?
A. Transit times vary, allow the following transit times:

Airport to Airport 3 - 5 days
Door to Door 6 - 12 days
Airport to Door 6 - 12 days

Q. How can I pay?
A. We accept the following terms of payment
• Cash
• Electronic transfer: Bank details available on request
• Cheques: cheque payments require clearance, and this may delay your shipment, as cheque clearance may take up to seven working days to clear and up to 35 working days for foreign cheques.
Q. How much will it cost me?

Q. Can I pay when I collect my baggage at destination?
A. We regret that we are unable to charges collect shipments.
Q. Can my baggage be collected before departure by baggage solutions?
A. Yes, your baggage can be collected from any address within the greater Johannesburg & Pretoria areas.
Q. What are the most common delivery hours.
A. Usually no deliveries will be made after-hours. Office hours vary from country to country.
Q. Can I deliver my goods to baggage solutions in person?
A. We will gladly accept your goods at our offices.
Q. How can I determine the weight that will be charged for my baggage
A. If you have all the baggage dimensions (in centimeters), simply:

a) Multiply the length x width x height of each piece to determine the volume capacity.
b) Add all the volume capacities together to get a total cubic capacity.
c) Divide the Total volume capacity by 6000 to get volumetric weight.
d) Round the total volumetric weight up to the closest kilogram.
e) Weigh your pieces of baggage.
f) Add the actual weights together to get a Total actual weight.
g) Round the total actual weight up to the closest kilogram.

Example:

Item 1:
(100cm x 50cm x 50 cm) then devide by the standard volume factor of 6000
Volumetric Weight = 41.66 kg
Actual Weight = 20.5kg

Item 2:
(50cm x 40cm x 30 cm) then devide by the standard volume factor of 6000
Volumetric Weight = 10.0 kg
Actual Weight = 5.90kg

Total Volumetric Weight = 41.66kg + 10.0kg = 51.66 kg
Total Actual Weight = 20.5kg + 5.90kg = 26.4kg

Rounded up to the closest kilogram:
Volumetric Weight = 52kg
Actual Weight = 26kg

The larger of the two amounts are used by airlines as the chargeable weight, in this case, Chargeable Weight = 52kg
Q. Are there any extra costs at the destination?
A. Our solutions are taylor made and therefore includes all the transportation cost.
Customs duties, taxes and airline handling charges are not included in the listed price.
These charges are payable upon receipt of your consignment at destination.
Q. What duties and/ or taxes are payable, if any?
A. Duties vary widely according to origin and destination.
If goods are owned for at least 6-12 months, they are normally duty free. Please bear in mind that we have no control over the actions of customs services anywhere in the world. It is your responsibility to ensure that you abide by the rules and regulations of the country that you are sending your goods to (or from).
Q. What packaging can we use?
A. Any strong durable packing will be sufficient provided that fragile articles are securely packed in such a manor that it will be secure and protected from physical handling and any accidental knocks.
Q. Can we seal the cartons?
A. Cartons may be sealed by owners prior to dispatch.
Q. How will I be contacted at destination?
A. Either the local handling company or airline involved will contact you
by telephone or fax.
Q. What are the prohibited commodities not acceptable?

Q. How are my personal details handled?
A. Your personal details will be used only for transportation, documentation and clearance purposes.
